Purchase Sharp EL-2196BL Heavy Duty Color Printing Calculator with Clock and Calendar

Prices of desk-top calculators continue to come down. But the quality of the products remains high. This is a wonderful calculator. I have been using Sharp products all my life...and will continue to do so!

My only complaint is that the product was pictured as 'off-white' in color; but what I received was all black. Not a huge deal; but I would like to have known prior to purchasing.Get more detail about Sharp EL-2196BL Heavy Duty Color Printing Calculator with Clock and Calendar.

Order Casio FC-200V Financial Calculator with 4-Line Display

The Casio FC 200V is a very intuitive and easy to use calculator.

This is my first financial calculator but due to the ease of use it took me only a couple of hours to figure out all the functions. I especially like the fact that all the variables are listed out for a given function in a way that you can scroll down to see them, therefore you need not remember the required variables for the function. Also when you set the variables for one function they are generally available for the next function which saves time if you're doing two different calculations using the same set of data.

Standard calculator mode (and statistical mode) does not have the 'thousand' separators for the numerical display, but you won't miss them too much once you get used to it. However the financial modes do include the separators which you need to activate through the setup function.

The keys on the Casio FC-200V Financial Calculator are easy to press and the unit feels solid. It's also light weight and is especially easy to use with both hands. Includes the standard financial calculation functions, such as a standard bond calculation function, EAR and APR conversion, NPV, Payback, Depreciation, Loan amortization etc etc...

How the Casio FC 200V stacks up to its competitors I cannot comment, as I have not used other models (Texas Instruments, HP etc). However I have no regrets in buying this and highly recommend it. This can become a valuable financial tool for work and studies. I know it has for me.

Where To Buy Casio FX9750GII 0CALCULATOR GRAPHIC

Casio has been upgrading their graphics calculators for years. This most recent release of the 9750 model- the Casio fx 9750 GII-
is a huge break through in reasonably priced calculators. For starters, it costs about 50.00. It is now a mathematical subset of their more powerful 9860 models, typically priced from 80.00 to 100.00. All kinds of data, from statistical to programs to matrices can be transferred among the various models. The output is identical.
The screen is highly readable in all kinds of lighting situations. The unit is a bit smaller and more compact, but the keys are
easily used. I actually prefer the size of this calculator to any of my other Casio and TI models- including the Casio Slim. There is a complete range of statistical tests, intervals, and regression models. The conics graphs have been expanded greatly. Using complex numbers is easily accomplished.
For short, this is the best buy I have ever seen in graphics calculators. If it's your first, you can't go wrong. If you already have one ( or several) get one of these. It is really fantastic!

Texas Instruments TI36X Solar Scientific Calculator Review

This is the best calculator I've ever owned. The display screen resists light scratching and the casing is stylish, easy to clean, and does not fade like the plastic on other calculators. The calculator does not turn on in dim light, but who is working in dim light? I purchased a newer, natural display scientific calculator because of its ability to solve equations and create tables for graphing but it started to get scratches on the side from sliding the cover on and off and the display screen scratched the very first time I removed the protection plastic! The final straw was the amount of time it took just to key in a problem. I finally became so frustrated with it that I went back to my all time favorite. I gave the natural display calculator to my wife.

Unless you are in a math class that requires you to use a graphing calculator, this calcuator is all that you will need for your math and science classes. This calculator is a great buy!Get more detail about Texas Instruments TI36X Solar Scientific Calculator.

HP 33S Scientific Calculator (F2216A) Best Quality

I teach math at a community college, and use this calculator for most of my daily calculations. I own 2 33s and a hp 50g. I have recently bought the 35s. I haven't had a chance to spend much time with the 35s, but my initial impression is a positive one. I like the fact that one does not have to use shift for the following operations -- e^x, x^2, and the (nth root of x). On the 35s one has to use shift to access these, thus adding extra key strokes. I love the side grips made of rubber. This helps me hold on to the unit while in class. The 35s does not have these. It will take me some time to decide to lay down my trusty 33s for the 35s. I love both calculators, but I'm use to the 33s. If you buy the 33s or the 35s you will not be disappointed. RPN is my preferred method for doing calculations. Hope this helps. Calculated Industries 44080 Construction Master Pro Construction Calculator Get it now!

I bought this desktop model for the home, after buying and using the Construction Master Pro Trig hand held calculator. The desktop model makes a great companion to the Pro Trig, which I use in the field for pipe fitting and rigging applications. Both of these products were some of the best purchases I have made, as they are very versatile and offer the most funtions that I use on a day to day basis. Before now, I have either been forced to use more than one calculating device, or keep a list of the frequently used mathmatical formulas on hand to complete my work. Now I am able to work with more speed and accuracy. The set up features are an asset, as I am able to program most of the functions to meet my specific needs. Again great product. It offers more bang for the buck than any other calculating device I have tried. I am a true believer in Calculated Industry products.Get more detail about Calculated Industries 44080 Construction Master Pro Construction Calculator.

Casio SL-300 Wallet Style Pocket Calculator Buy Now

Maybe I was in too much of a hurry. I wanted a wallet size calculator to fit like a credit card size. I think the product description is misleading.

Calculator Measures aprox:

2.75 x 4.75

and should be given in product information. (one star for the name not matching the product.)

The calculator is fully functional and is good for being left in a car. For a calculator with accurate description is (3 star) I do not like the protector around the (AC/ON) button, is annoying.Get more detail about Casio SL-300 Wallet Style Pocket Calculator.

My son is completely satisfied with this for use in his first Algebra class. I bought this due to good experience with Casio calculators and the good price. I bought myself one in my 2nd year of college to use in Accounting - EL533 is the model, I think. I still use it. Purchased in 1985 and still works like a charm 24 years later. Can't beat that! Canon LS555H Calculator Decide Now

Product description says it all and was able to get a zoomed-in look at this little guy. This is a handy little gadget as well as a high-quality product from Canon. Conveniently small enough to slip into my pants pockets and easily retrievable whenever I need it while at work. The reactions of my co-workers about the LS555H are pretty much all the same; they all think it's a cool little device they wish they had as well. The buttons are spaced out enough to avoid punching unwanted ones simultaneously whether you have normal-sized fingers or fat fingers. Also, I love the large digit display which IMO is the best thing about it. Don't know about overall durability......in other words don't try to purposely slam it down on the floor or step on it with all your weight to see if it doesn't break. All in all, a great product not to be missed for those needing a "basic" function calculator. Get more detail about Canon LS555H Calculator.

Calculated Industries 3415 Qualifier Plus IIIX Real Estate Finance Calculator Right now

I have become its best salesperson. I just finished my real estate course and prior to the exam the instructor advised all of us to buy a HP calculator. I think it was the 12c. I showed the class what my Qualifier Plus IIIx could do and it made an easy choice for all. Needless to say the HP calculator was not an option for all. This calculator is easy to use and it made a nervous transition into the real estate math portion very easy. 10 Stars to Calculated Industries. Lowest Price Canon PIDHV Printing Calculator (9493A001AC)

I purchased this calculator a week ago at Office Depot. I had a lot of difficulty loading the printer paper (just where exactly am I supposed to insert the paper?...) The most irritating thing for me about this calculator is that the decimal point is very tiny and tends to get lost (and hence very easy to overlook) among the otherwise large and very clear display numerals. Also the Print indicator is much too tiny for my liking.

As for the instructions - they left me wondering what Canon was thinking when they designed the layout of the instructions. The instructions begin with calculation examples, then explain what the different keys are used for. Next is the list of specifications. Then follow instructions for loading and replacing the batteries. At this point, if you're wondering how to load the paper, you'll find them on the backside of the instructions rather than toward the beginning of the instructions where you might logically expect them to be. As for loading the paper, it took me several guesses before I finally figured out exactly where to insert the paper. Otherwise, I basically like the features of the calculator except for, in my honest opinion, the inadequately tiny decimal point.

In summary, the seemingly illogical order in which the instructions are laid out, an unsatisfactory decimal point size, and the unnecessary difficulty in loading the paper detract from an otherwise easy to use compact calculator with a very clear display and a nice printout. In conclusion, I would suggest checking out other calculators before purchasing this one to make sure you're satisfied with all of its features.

Order Casio Hr-8Tm Printing Calculator

I've owned a Casio calculator for years. That is
until one my of cats used it to express her/his
love for me.
The one I had was discontinued so I bought the
HR-8TM. It's just as good as my old one.
Easy to make no nonsense entries etc.
I have just one wish- that it included a format
for calcing time-hours, minutes, and a format for
yardage. As a sewer this would have been great.
Otherwise no complaints. If one of these were
included I would award 5 stars instead of 4.
I'd buy another Casio if this one craps out.
No pun intended LOL.

Where To Buy HP 20b Business Consultant Financial Calculator (F2219AA)

I bought the HP20b because it can be used as a development system for the microprocessor that's inside. HP supports such hacking by making the complete details of the calculator available on it's technical web sites. See the November 2009 issue of Circuit Cellar magazine for the details. While it's an excellent calculator in the functions it offers it's lacking in the quality of the keyboard. I've own many HP calculators and this has the worst keyboard. The tactical feedback is poor, unlike all the other HP calculators I own. This forces you to look at the display when entering numbers. Otherwise you might not make correct entries. Very annoying way to use the calculator. I would rather pay a bit more and get the traditional HP good tactical feedback keyboard. Other than the keyboard the calculator is good. Display is easy to read and of sufficient size.

The included slip case is not well padded and would offer little protection when it's dropped. Manual is so-so. Typical paperback that's hard to keep open. What ever happened to the spiral bound manuals that would stay open? I know let's make it a little cheaper. No little cheat sheet includes with this calculator. Clearly a product designed to meet a low price point. Get more detail about HP 20b Business Consultant Financial Calculator (F2219AA).

Casio FX-115MS Plus Scientific Calculator This instant

I've been using a Casio that I bought from the 90's. I decided to upgrade and I was nicely surprised on the features. The two line makes it easy to see if you entered a problem wrong. Texas Instruments TI86 Graphing Calculator Best Quality

I purchased 2, my 16 year old needed a TI-86 and my 13 year old told me she needed a TI-84. I opted to purchase 2 TI-86's, but they came with nothing, no booklet, no warrantee papers no cables, AC adapters. Then I put 4 rechargeable 1.25v batteries in it and the screen was so light I could only read the screen in the dark. Then I put in 4 new Dura-cells 1.5v batteries and the screen went so dark we can't read it at all. This means the only way we can read the screen is to use 2- 1.5v & 2- 1.25 batteries.

Now after going through all that with Nathan's TI-86, then we tried Ruth's and found it reacted to battery voltage exactly the same way; so tell me what happens at the end of the class period when the batteries voltage starts to drop; will the screen just get lighter and lighter until they have to change one of the batteries? If I would have known, I would have paid double the price.

So were these, TI-86's Chinese knock-offs?

I would like to get the windows cable, but until I get an A/C adapter that works, I don't dare spend any more on it.

Papa J is not a satisfied customer

Cheapest Aurora HC127 Dual Power Executive Foldable Style 8 Digit Hardcase Calculator

This compact calculator is a good choice if you want to use a calculator for simple day to day calculations.

It's slim and portable. The folding ability provides protection, but it's also nice because you can angle the display to your liking. You can lay it down while using it, however, the design actually allows for comfortable 2-handed use.

The keys are big and soft, and have a nice arrangement on the calculator.. but I think I would have actually prefered a harder set of keys. Order Calculated Industries KitchenCalc 8300 Recipe Calculator with Digital Timer

My daughter is in culinary school and spends HOURS converting recipes. We searched and searched for an online calculator and never found a perfect "fit". Months later, thankfully she is still in school, I bought a book that she needed through Amazon and lo and behold, at the bottom of the screen where it says "What other customers purchased" was my answered prayer! We didn't even know such a thing existed. This calculator is easy to use and ACCURATE. It is sooo easy now to convert recipes. Seriously, all you do is type in the original number of servings and the new number of servings and with just a few entries, wa-lah....your newly adjusted recipe. I bought this as an early Christmas present (along with tons of other culinary related things) and this is her favorite!! It has cut her homework time by at least 70%. No joke. Shop For TI-30XS Multiview Calculator

After using CAS calculators for 10 years (hp48g,hp50g,ti92p), I couldn't use any scientific calculator, they were too simplistic (even if they had a lot of features) - UNTIL THIS CALCULATOR CAME ALONG. The calculation history is implemented just like on ti92plus. You need a number from the previous calculations? Just "up" to it, and paste it into your new calculation you're typing. And you can do this as many times as needed. Just grab the numbers from previous calculations and assemble new calculations. This works REALLY well for any involved problems (chemistry, physics, etc.)

Now here come the gripes. The scientific notation is HORRIBLY implemented. Instead of "E" button to represent "x10^", it has an actual "x10^" button, which types "x10^" for you (you can do it without the button, by typing X 1 0 ^). So what's the problem?

Here's an example: what's 8Mega/3kilo?. On most scientific calculator this would look like this "8e6/3e3". On the ti30, however, this has to look like this "8x10^6/(3x10^3)". Maybe it's more proper, but it's a lot messier, and you also MUST use parenthesis for the denominator (in order to make sure that the exponents are kept in the denominator as well), or you can use fractions (which are just as many keystrokes). The only way to make sure that the exponent part stays with the value is to put parenthesis around each scientific value. What I end up doing when doing calculations with any scientific notation is putting parenthesis around EVERY number. It's dumb.

I'm not sure why TI did this. It looks much more cumbersome and much more difficult to interpret and review. "8e6/3e3" is right to the point, but TI engineers thought that "8x10^6/(3x10^3)" is much clearer.

To compare it to other calculators
I still like this calculator much more than the casio es115 or sharp w516. They're all great calculators though (that have more features, like numeric integration, instant differentials, matricies and imaginary - I argue against those features in scientific calculators, because they're so poorly implemented in comparison to how they're implemented on true CAS calculators like HP50g or tiVoyage). HP35 (hp33 is very similar) is a very specialized machine, I'd only recommend it to people that are used to HP machines, and need programming capability; to most other normal people it's as unintuitive as it gets (even RPN implementation is pretty strange in comparison to HP-28S,48,50 series).Get more detail about TI-30XS Multiview Calculator.
